Church of saint Epiphanios
Feast day: May 12
The church was completed in 1932 at the expense of the benefactor of the community, Costas Ellinas. Although it is dedicated to saint Epiphanios, its erection is due to a miracle attributed to saint Georgios. More specifically, during the service in the chapel of saint Georgios, a noise was heard, which scared the congregation and made them run away, fearing its collapse. Since the noise was considered as a warning by saint Georgios regarding the stability of the church, it was decided to build a new one, which was dedicated to saint Epiphanios, Bishop of Salamis and Archbishop of Cyprus.
The cross-shaped, domed church has an arched portico on the south. The tympani of the pediments of the side aisles, the arched windows of the dome, as well as the rest of the windows of the church are covered by marble screens with cross-shaped apertures. At the southeast corner is the two-storey belfry. The church holds icons of the 19th century. The feast day of the church is on the 12th of May.
