Chapel of saint Georgios
Feast day: April 23 and November 3
A stone-built, single-aisled chapel with a prominent semicircular apse and a steep-pitched timber roof. The main entrance of the chapel, protected by a single-pitched canopy, is located to the west. There is also an entrance on the south side, while there are windows only on the south side and in the apse. Inside, on the south wall, saint Georgios is depicted on his horse, slaying a dragon with his spear. In the precinct of the chapel is a round stone of large dimensions, in the middle of which is a hole. It is customary for the faithful who have a health problem to pass through the stone’s hole, believing that saint Georgios will intercede for their healing. The feast day of the church is on the 23rd of April and on the 3rd of November.
