Chapel of Saint Georgios
Feast day: November 3
A single-aisled chapel with a gabled roof covered with tiles and a square closed narthex on the north side. The arch of the sanctuary is externally four-sided and covered by five pointed radial domes with tiles. The chapel is built with local stone. The two doors and windows that illuminate its interior are located on the western and the northern sides. What is quite significant about the chapel is its indigo colour, which was also used for the external beams of the superstructure. The wooden iconostasis is simple and the icons are contemporary. The chapel was constructed in 1948, where there used to be a cave dedicated to saint Georgios. It was funded by Michael and Margarita Orthodoxou, according to the built-in marble slab above the northern entrance. It was restored during the years 1995-1996 at the expense of the community and the emigrants of Kato Drys. Its feast day is on the 3rd of November.
