Chapel of Saint Georgios
Feast day: November 3
A single-aisled chapel with a pointed arch and a semicircular apse. Its walls are reinforced externally by extremely wide buttresses. It was the main church of Maroni, while today it is the cemeterial one. It has two entrances (west and south wall) with arched windows. It is lit only by the three small oculi located high on the east and west walls and in the middle of the apse. The bell tower is located near the south side. The church dates back to the 17th century, while it was restored during the period 1999-2001. It has a wood-carved iconostasis with contemporary icons.
