Chapel of Saint Thomas
Feast day: October 6
It is located in the valley of Syrkatis river, in the northeast of Pano Lefkara and was the parish church of the small homonymous settlement, attested in Venetian sources of 1534, as belonging to Synglitikos family.
The church is a single-aisled vaulted structure and is 8.60 m long (without the semicircular apse of 0.95 m) by 5.00 m wide. The slightly pointed dome was supported internally by a reinforcing arch and externally by a pair of buttresses (north and south). On the outside it was covered with a mixture of lime and concrete, a strong traditional waterproofing mixture. The church is covered inside with plaster, while there is no evidence of wall paintings, despite the fact that their presence was assumed. The chapel is a listed monument (Table B). Its feast day is on the 6th of October.
